Not mid rise & bunching on the legs

I have many pairs of current Elliott stiletto jeans over the years but since UK shops have stopped stocking them I haven’t been able to buy any for a few years. So I was delighted to find an EU stockist posting to the UK. I thought my purchase was a sure thing but sadly no. Despite being mid rise these do not compare to my old mid rise & are much higher. I don’t get the obsession with high rise jeans that make you feel like a sausage squashed in denim. In addition to the higher waist the material bunches up on the lower leg. Seems impossible for me to buy jeans anywhere anymore. I’d like to return these but no one has come back to me in my query.
